Especially I like visiting wonderful nature places such as mountains, woods, lakes, rivers, gorges, waterfalls, glaciers, beaches, and so on.

特に自然の素晴らしい山、森、湖、川、渓谷、滝、氷河、海岸等々を訪れるのが好きです。

私は美しいものを見て写真を撮るのが好きです。

 

If you hear “Tokyo,” what do you imagine?

東京と聞くと何を思い浮かべますか？

 

Tokyo is the capital of Japan, and the center of politics, economics, culture, information, academic, art, entertainment, and so on.

東京は日本の首都で、政治、経済、文化、情報、学問、芸術、エンターテイメント等々の中心です。

 

There are so many restaurants of various foods around the world, modern skyscrapers, traditional buildings and many touristic places to visit.

世界中の様々な料理のレストランがあり、近代的な高層ビルもあれば、伝統的な建築物や沢山の観光地があります。

 

It is a big city, but there are islands and wonderful nature places too.

大都市ですが、島もあるし素晴らしい自然もあるのです。

 

Three year ago I happened to know about the Kuzuryu jinja shrine and the nearby waterfalls of Hinohara village in Tokyo. 

3年前たまたま東京の桧原村にある九頭龍神社とその近くの滝について知りました。

 

I decided to visit there with four friends using public transportations during the Golden Week.

4人の友人と公共交通機関を使ってゴールデンウィーク中に行くことにしました。

 

We really enjoyed visiting the shrine with three waterfalls and taking beautiful pictures.

神社と3つの滝巡りを楽しみ、沢山の美しい写真を撮りました。

 

This is a collection of pictures when I visited the Hinohara village in Tokyo on May 4, 2021.

My Trip to Izu Peninsula: March 2023

I love traveling.
私は旅行が大好きです。

I have been to many places in my life.
私は今までの人生いろいろなところに行ってきました。

I like to see beautiful places and take pictures.
私は美しいところを見て、写真を撮るのが好きです。

Under the COVID-19 situation, we cannot travel around the world freely as we used to.
コロナ禍では、かつてのように自由に海外旅行が出来ません。

Therefore I have traveled around Japan instead.
だから、その代わり、私は国内を旅しています。

I have been to Izu Peninsula several times in my life, especially when I was young.
私は伊豆半島に何度か行ったことがあります。特に若いころには。

In March 2023 I was asked to attend a seminar in Hatsushima Island where I have wanted to visit for a long time.
2023年3月に、ずっと行きたいと思っていた初島で行われるセミナーに誘われました。

There was a shrine near Atami where I have also wanted to visit for a long time.
熱海の近くにずっと行きたいと思っていた神社もありました。

I decided to attend the seminar, and visit the shrine before going there because it was so close.
セミナーに参加することを決め、そこに行く前に神社に行くことにしました。何故ならとても近かったからです。

In Shimoda, Izu Peninsula, there is a pension where my friends run. It’s been a long time since I visited there last. Therefore I decided to visit there after the seminar.
伊豆半島の下田には友人が経営しているペンションがあります。久しく行っていませんでした。だから、セミナーが終わってから、寄ることにしました。

In Izu Peninsula there are many waterfalls I have wanted to visit for a long time too. Therefore I decided to visit there after visiting my friends’ place.
伊豆半島にはずっと行きたかった滝が沢山あります。だから、友人のところに行ってから行くことにしました。

There is another shrine I wanted to visit in Mishima, so I visited on my way back.
もう一か所行きたい神社が三島にありましたので、帰りに寄ってきました。

This is the summary of my trip to Izu Peninsula. As you can see I could visit many places where I have wanted to visit for a long time in a short time.
これが私の伊豆半島への旅の概略です。お分かりのように、私はずっと行きたいと思っていた沢山のところに短期間で行くことが出来ました。
