Waterfalls in Tokyo Vol.4: August 2022

 

I love traveling. 

私は旅行が好きです。

 

Especially I like visiting wonderful nature places such as mountains, woods, lakes, rivers, gorges, waterfalls, glaciers, beaches, and so on.

特に自然の素晴らしい山、森、湖、川、渓谷、滝、氷河、海岸等々を訪れるのが好きです。

 

I love to see beautiful things and take pictures.

私は美しいものを見て写真を撮るのが好きです。

 

If you hear “Tokyo,” what do you imagine?

東京と聞くと何を思い浮かべますか？

 

Tokyo is the capital of Japan, and the center of politics, economics, culture, information, academic, art, entertainment, and so on.

東京は日本の首都で、政治、経済、文化、情報、学問、芸術、エンターテイメント等々の中心です。

 

There are so many restaurants of various foods around the world, modern skyscrapers, traditional buildings and many touristic places to visit.

世界中の様々な料理のレストランがあり、近代的な高層ビルもあれば、伝統的な建築物や沢山の観光地があります。

 

It is a big city, but there are islands and wonderful nature places too.

大都市ですが、島もあるし素晴らしい自然もあるのです。

 

Last summer on the Day of Mountain, my ex-colleague planned to visit Mt. Mitake to see the beautiful flowers and enjoy eating mountain foods. There is a famous shrine there and I decided to join. When I saw the map, I found two waterfalls nearby, and I asked her if we could visit there or not. She said we could visit the one. And we visited the Nanayo no taki waterfall.

昨年夏の山の日に元同僚が御岳山で花と山の幸を楽しもうという計画を立てました。近くにとても有名な神社があるので、私は参加することにしました。地図を見たら近くに２つの滝がありましたので、彼女にそこに行けるか尋ねました。１つなら行ける。そこで私たちは七代の滝に行くことにしました。

My Trip to Okinawa Vol.2: May 2023

I love traveling.
私は旅行が大好きです。

I have been to many places in my life.
私は今までの人生いろいろなところに行ってきました。

I like to see beautiful places and take pictures.
私は美しいところを見て、写真を撮るのが好きです。

Under the COVID-19 situation, we cannot travel around the world freely as we used to.
コロナ禍では、かつてのように自由に海外旅行が出来ません。

Therefore I have traveled around Japan instead.
だから、その代わり、私は国内を旅しています。

I have been to Okinawa for four times in my life.
私は今までに沖縄に4回行ったことがあります。

First was in October 2000 as a company trip. I remember that we went to the Cape Manzamo, played golf, and enjoyed the beautiful stars at night for the first day, and visited Himeyuri no to (Tower of Himeyuri) and thought of war and peace, and enjoyed walking around the International street and shopping for the second day.
最初は、2000年10月の社内旅行でした。初日は、万座毛に行き、ゴルフをして、夜は美しい星空を楽しみました。２日目は、ひめゆりの塔に行き戦争と平和について考え、国際通りでの買い物を楽しんだことを覚えています。

Second was in December 2003 as the first port of the call of the 44th Peace Boat Cruise. I remember that I went to the Post Office to send out the New Year’s Cards and visited Shuri jo castle.
2回目は、2003年12月に、第44回ピースボートの最初の寄港地として行きました。郵便局に年賀状を出しに行き、首里城に行ったのを覚えています。

Third was in December 2021 to attend a conference, and I enjoyed my vacation after that.
3回目は2021年12月にあるカンファレンスに参加し、その後休暇を楽しみました。

I had fulfilling 4 nights 5 days trip by visiting the northern part of one day bus tour and the southern part of a half day bus tour, and meeting my friends.
北部への１日、南部への半日バスツアーに参加し、友人にも会い充実した4泊5日の沖縄旅行でした。

This became the first book of “Visit Japan” series.

この経験が“日本の旅”シリーズの1冊目になりました。

There were many more places I wanted to visit in Okinawa, so I did in May 2023.
沖縄でまだまだ行きたかったところはたくさんあったので、2023年5月に行ってきました。

This time I went there to attend the two nights three days seminar first, extended my stay for two more nights and visited the places I could not visit last time.
今回は、まず2泊3日のセミナーで沖縄に行き、2泊延泊して前回行けなかったところに行きました。

Sunlight: May 2023

I love to see beautiful things and take pictures.
私は美しいものを見て写真を撮るのが好きです。

I like to take pictures of sunlight through trees, clouds, and other things.
私は木漏れ日を撮るのが好きです。

When I take pictures at the sacred places like shrines and temples, I can take wonderful light pictures without realizing.
神社仏閣のような神聖な場所で写真を撮ると、気づかぬうちに素晴らしい光の写真が撮れていることがあります。

This is a collection of pictures when I visited Hayama, Miura kaigan beach, Aburatsubo, Yokohama in Kanagawa, Hinohara villagein Tokyo, Okinawa and so on in May 2023.
これは、私が2023年5月に神奈川県の葉山、三浦海岸、油壷、横浜、東京の桧原村、沖縄等々を訪れた時の写真集です。
