My Trip to Hokkaido: 2022

I love traveling.
私は旅行が大好きです。

I have been to many places in my life.
私は今までの人生いろいろなところに行ってきました。

I like to see beautiful places and take pictures.
私は美しいところを見て、写真を撮るのが好きです。

Under the COVID-19 situation, we cannot travel around the world freely as we used to.
コロナ禍では、かつてのように自由に海外旅行が出来ません。

Therefore I have traveled around Japan instead.
だから、その代わり、私は国内を旅しています。

I have been to Hokkaido eight times in my life.
私は今までの人生で北海道に8回行ったことがあります。

The first time I traveled to East Hokkaido (Obihiro, Kushiro, Abashiri, Lake Akan, Lake Mashu, Lake Kussharo, Lake Shikotsu, Sapporo, etc.) with my mother in August 1986.
最初は、1986年8月に母と道東 (帯広、釧路、網走、阿寒湖、摩周湖、屈斜路湖、支笏湖、札幌など)を旅行しました。

The second, third, and fourth times I went with high school friends and fellow teachers in December 1986, March 1987, and March 1988 to ski to Tomamu, Sapporo, and Niseko respectively and sightsee in Otaru and Noboribetsu, etc.
2回目、3回目、4回目は、スキーをするために、1986年12月にトマム、1987年3月に札幌、1988年3月にニセコに、高校時代の友人や教師仲間と行き、小樽や登別の観光もしました。

The fifth time was in February 1989 to eat crab with high school friends in time for the Drift Ice Festival.
5回目は1989年2月に流氷まつりに合わせて高校時代の友人とカニを食べに行きました。

The sixth time, in June 2017, I went to Hakodate and Sapporo on a business trip.
6回目は2017年6月に函館と札幌に出張で行きました。

The seventh time I went to Muroran and Sapporo on a business trip in June 2018.
7回目は、2018年6月に室蘭と札幌に出張で行きました。

The eighth time I went to attend a conference in Niseko and enjoyed meeting friends and sightseeing in Sapporo in September 2022.
8回目は、2022年9月にニセコでのカンファレンスに出席して、札幌で友人に会ったり、観光を楽しみました。
